About Me:

I had some wonderful artistic genes passed down to me. My Grandfather and my mom were both wonderful artist. My Grandfather in his drawings and wood carvings and my mom in her painting and doll making. I have been blessed to have the combination of them both.
I love to draw, paint and design. When I can put all three together then I am at my happiest. I'm one of those "quirky" artist that sees what most can't or won't. I get my inspiration from everything around me. The adventourous antics of my six year old.....our furry family members....even looking at the marble tile on the floor will reveal a faery or wee one face staring up at me. I have been up to now giving my ooaks away...yes, a starving artist ;) I have recently started my own business, Southern OOAKS. It holds a menagerie of my designs. I love designing...I love seeing the smile or far away thought of a memory that comes to a face when they see some of my ooaks. That makes being an artist, my quirkiness and all worth while.

Favorite Mediums:

fabrics, clays, ribbons, vintage material, wool, felts, gems, beads.... anything that shows a potential to me I will use ;)
